Welcome
What to expect!
For many students, this is their first year to really experience science.  Don't worry... you are in good hands.  I have participated in numerous courses covering science instruction.  We will work hands-on with science as we complete many experiments.  I have also tried to convert my classroom into the most technologically advanced classroom in the district.  With thanks to local businesses and friends, I have acquired laptops, mac computers, a SmartBoard with a Senteo response system, and wireless internet.  Students will be creating their own blogs, wikis, podcasts, and vodcasts.  Students will experience science in a positive and powerful way.

THE RULES
I am a very strict teacher when it comes to student discipline.  I enforce every rule established by our principal with no exceptions.  Also, I expect students to act with dignity and to respect everyone.  I do not tolerate children talking back to teachers, refusing to follow the rules, and lying.  Here is what I want students to do, known as the four be's:
Be Seated,
Be Working,
Be Respectful,
and Be Prepared.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me.

You may also visit our official online grade book, TeacherEase, to check how your child is performing in class.  I place grades and behavior concerns on TeacherEase.  Please contact me if you have any questions on how to access TeacherEase.  Also, if you will give me your e-mail address, I will set-up TeacherEase so that it will e-mail you every time I enter a grade or write a behavior log for your child.  This is a great tool that can help you keep track of your child's progress.
